Simon Pimlott

Senior Associate

I am a Senior Associate in the personal injury team at IBB Law. For nearly 20 years I have been recovering compensation for claimants who have suffered significant and often life-changing injuries. I have a passionate commitment to ensuring I deliver an outstanding service and my clients receive the compensation they deserve.

I now specialise in assisting clients who have suffered brain injuries and severe spinal cord injuries. Whilst recognising that the ultimate objective is to recover fair compensation, I am very aware of the vital importance of helping my client’s access rehabilitation at the earliest opportunity to maximise their recovery. Finances are often stretched following an accident and where possible, I will seek to secure an interim payment to help my clients get their lives back on track following a traumatic incident.

In addition to head and spinal injuries, I continue to help clients who have suffered injuries arising from the clinical negligence of the NHS. I am also helping many clients who have suffered other significant injuries as a result of accidents at work, in public places and as a result of defective products.

I take a keen interest in the wider field of brain injury and spinal injury. I have attended many courses, seminars and events devoted to promoting the interests of victims. All the lawyers in our team are members of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), The Spinal Injuries Association, Headway (The Brain Injury Association), United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum (UKABIF) and Child Brain Injury Trust Directory. I provide training and have recently spoken at an event organised by the British Association of Brain Injury case Managers.

I studied History at Birmingham University, graduating in 1992. After working in a graduate position for a few years within the insurance industry, I became attracted to a career in law where I could assist the general public. I have since worked for personal injury law firms in Croydon, London and Southampton before joining IBB in 2014.

Outside of work, I find much of my time is devoted to a young family. Where time allows, I enjoy mountain biking, squash, tennis and very occasional golf. I also love football but with the passage of time, this is now limited to watching and not playing.
